How we work

Our process

The same sequence is followed on a one-room job and on a hotel floor. Skipping a stage is how finishes fail early.

  1. 1

    Colour approval

RAL or custom shade sprayed on a sample board and checked in your own light. Sprayed colour reads differently to a catalogue chip.

  2. 2

    Booth setup on site

A sheeted enclosure with extraction is built in the flat or shop, or the shutters go to our Bhayandar workshop. Spraying without containment coats everything nearby in fine mist.

  3. 3

    Surface preparation and putty

Sanding, NC or PU putty on joints and screw heads, then re-sanding. Duco is a mirror — any flat spot in the substrate is permanently visible.

  4. 4

    Primer and block sanding

Sprayed primer, block-sanded flat, repeated where needed. This stage decides whether the final panel looks factory-made or homemade.

  5. 5

    Colour and clear coats

Base colour sprayed in even passes, then clear coat for gloss and protection. Between-coat flash-off times are followed rather than rushed.

  6. 6

    Curing, refit and inspection

Panels cured before handling, hardware refitted, shutters hung and aligned. A full modular kitchen typically runs 8–12 days end to end.

Budgeting

What affects the price

We do not publish a single rate, because two jobs of the same size can differ by a wide margin. These are the factors that actually move the number on a quotation.

Duco or PU
Two-pack PU material costs more than nitrocellulose Duco and takes longer to cure.
Depth of preparation
Putty, primer and block sanding are the bulk of the labour on a gloss job, and they cannot be shortened without showing.
Gloss level
High gloss demands a flatter substrate and more clear coats than matte or satin.
Booth setup on site
Building a contained spray enclosure in an occupied flat adds cost compared with workshop spraying.

Site visits and measured quotations are free within Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. The quote lists materials by brand and product name so you can compare like with like against any other contractor.

Questions

Spray Polish (Duco / PU) — frequently asked questions

Do you spray on site or in a workshop?
Both, depending on the job. Loose shutters and furniture go to our Bhayandar East workshop, which gives a cleaner result. Fixed panelling, wardrobes and shopfronts are sprayed on site inside a sheeted enclosure with extraction.
What is the difference between Duco and PU spray?
Duco is a nitrocellulose system — fast drying, easy to repair, slightly softer. PU is a two-pack system that cures harder, holds gloss longer and stands up better to water and cleaning. For a modular kitchen we normally recommend PU.
Can you match a specific colour?
Yes, any RAL shade or a custom colour matched to a sample you provide. We spray a sample board first and ask you to check it in your own lighting, because sprayed colour reads differently to a printed chip.
How long does a sprayed modular kitchen take?
Typically 8–12 days including preparation, primer, block sanding, colour, clear coat and curing. The preparation stage is the longest part and it is not worth compressing — every flat spot underneath shows through a gloss finish.
Will the smell be a problem for my neighbours?
Duco and PU spraying does have a strong solvent smell. On site we use a contained booth with extraction and prefer working hours agreed with the society. In a shared building we usually advise sending the shutters to the workshop instead.
