How we work

Our process

The same sequence is followed on a one-room job and on a hotel floor. Skipping a stage is how finishes fail early.

    Site visit and surface check

    We measure room by room and check the plaster for damp patches, chalking and hairline cracks. Damp walls are flagged before quoting — paint over damp plaster peels within a monsoon.

  2. 2

    Covering and masking

    Furniture is stacked centrally and sheeted, floors covered, switch plates and hardware masked. This happens before a single tool comes out.

  3. 3

    Surface preparation

    Old flaking paint scraped back, cracks cut open and filled, two coats of wall putty, then sanding to a flat surface. On a 2 BHK this stage alone usually takes 3–4 days and it is where most cheap quotes cut corners.

    Primer

    One coat of wall primer suited to the topcoat — water-based for emulsion interiors, cement primer for exterior masonry. Primer is what makes the finish coat colour sit even.

  5. 5

    Finish coats

    Two coats of the agreed emulsion, with drying time respected between coats. Exteriors get a weather-shield system instead, applied only on dry days.

  6. 6

    Cleaning and handover

    Masking removed, paint spots cleaned off tiles and glass, furniture reset, debris carried out. You walk the site with the supervisor before final payment.

What affects the price

We do not publish a single rate, because two jobs of the same size can differ by a wide margin. These are the factors that actually move the number on a quotation.

Condition of the existing surface
A wall needing full scraping and two putty coats costs far more in labour than a sound wall needing a single coat.
Paint product chosen
Distemper, standard emulsion, luxury emulsion and texture finishes sit at very different rates per square foot.
Occupied or empty flat
Occupied sites need daily covering, shifting and cleaning, which adds labour days.
Height and access
Duplex voids, stairwells and exterior elevations need scaffolding or rope access.

Site visits and measured quotations are free within Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. The quote lists materials by brand and product name so you can compare like with like against any other contractor.

Painting (Interior & Exterior) — frequently asked questions

How long does painting a 2 BHK flat take?
An occupied 2 BHK with normal putty work usually takes 6–8 working days; an empty flat with full scraping and two putty coats takes 8–12. Exterior weather-shield work on a society building is quoted per wing and typically runs 3–6 weeks.
Do I have to move out while you paint?
No. We normally work room by room, shifting and sheeting furniture as we go, so you keep two rooms usable at all times. Water-based emulsions have low odour, so the rooms are habitable the same night.
Which paint brands do you use?
Asian Paints, Berger and Nerolac. The exact product and number of coats is written on the quotation — for example Royale Luxury Emulsion, two coats over one primer coat — so you can check the tins delivered against the bill.
My walls have damp patches. Can you just paint over them?
No, and we will say so at the site visit. Paint over active damp peels within one monsoon. The source has to be traced first — usually a leaking bathroom above, a cracked chajja or terrace seepage — and treated before painting.
Do you give a warranty?
Yes. Interior emulsion work carries a workmanship warranty, and exterior weather-shield systems carry the manufacturer performance period stated on the quotation. Warranty terms are written on the quote rather than promised verbally.
