Twenty years of finishing work, handed down and still running
Akhilesh Enterprises is a painting, polishing and interior contracting firm based in Bhayandar East. We work on flats, bungalows, societies, offices, retail stores and five-star hotels — with our own crew, our own supervisors and a written quote before anyone touches a wall.
The story
A business passed from one generation to the next
The work started with the previous generation of the family — painting and wood polishing contracts taken on in Mumbai in the mid-2000s, a good part of it inside hotels. Those jobs were won the slow way: turn up when you said you would, protect the furniture, finish the room, and come back when something needed a touch-up.
The current owner grew up on those sites, learned the polishing trade there, and now runs the service. The clients came with him. That continuity is the reason relationships at properties like Taj and Sofitel in Mumbai have carried on for decades — the housekeeping and engineering teams there have dealt with the same family, and the same standard of work, across two generations of staff on both sides.
Today the firm handles roughly 1,500+ completed projects, from a single bedroom repaint in Bhayandar to a full-floor office fit-out in Navi Mumbai. The office and workshop are still in RNP Park.

How we work
Seven steps, every job
The sequence is the same whether it is a one-room repaint or an eleven-week office fit-out.

Site survey
We visit, measure the actual area, check the condition of the walls or woodwork, and note what needs repair before any finish goes on. Usually within 24–48 hours of your call, same day inside Thane district.
- 02
Written quote
You get an itemised quote — area in square feet, brand and grade of material, number of coats, labour, and a start-to-finish date. No verbal estimates that change later.
- 03
Material selection
We bring shade cards and laminate catalogues to your home or office. You pick the exact shade and sheen, and we buy from authorised dealers so the batch is genuine.
- 04
Execution
Furniture is shifted and covered, floors are sheeted, and the crew works to the agreed sequence — scraping, putty, sanding, primer, then finish coats. A supervisor is on site every day.
- 05
Daily cleanup
The site is swept and debris removed at the end of every working day. On occupied homes, hotels and offices we hand the area back usable each evening.

Handover
We walk the site with you, list any touch-ups you want, and finish them before we take payment. Leftover material and shade codes stay with you for future repairs.
- 07
Follow-up
We check back after the first monsoon on exterior and waterproofing jobs, and are on call for touch-ups. Most of our work now comes from clients we finished for years ago.

The crew
Our own people, not day labour
We keep a permanent crew of painters, wood polishers, carpenters and electricians. They are trained in-house, they have worked together for years, and the same faces come back for your touch-ups.
It matters more than it sounds. A polisher who has done a thousand hotel wardrobes will match an old teak shade by eye. A painter who knows Mumbai humidity will not close a coat too early. And a fixed crew can be police-verified and cleared to work inside occupied hotel floors and corporate offices, which casual labour cannot.
Every site gets a named supervisor. You have one number to call, and one person accountable for the schedule and the cleanup.

Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai are our daily working area — a site visit there is usually same day or next day. For the rest, we take on projects of a size that justifies moving our own crew, and we tell you honestly when a job is too small to travel for.

- How long has Akhilesh Enterprises been in business?
- Twenty years, from 2005. It is a family business — the previous generation started the painting and polishing contracts, including work at five-star hotels in Mumbai, and the current owner has run the service since. That handover is why some of our hotel relationships have lasted decades.
- Do you use contract labour or your own crew?
- Our own trained crew — painters, wood polishers, carpenters and electricians who work with us full time. We do not pick up day labour from the naka. That is what keeps the finish consistent from one job to the next, and it is why we can be trusted inside occupied hotel rooms and offices.
- Which cities do you work in?
- We are based in Bhayandar East and work across Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Borivali, Virar and Churchgate as our core area, with completed projects in Vadodara, Kolkata, Patna, Bangalore, Hyderabad. For outstation work we travel our own crew rather than hiring locally.
- Can you work while our home, office or hotel stays occupied?
- Yes, and most of our work is done that way. We schedule room by room or floor by floor, use low-odour and low-VOC materials where the space is in use, run night and weekend shifts for offices and hotels, and clean the area before handing it back each day.
